Harriets Bury St Edmunds

The home of our very first pot of tea and fresh baked scone, we have been serving in Bury St Edmunds since 2001. The main entrance faces Guildhall Street with an alternative route in from The Traverse open in the summer months when plenty of tables and chairs are available outside for an al fresco lunch or a ‘coffee and a catch up’ with friends.

The Tearooms is located in one of the historic Cornhill Buildings, just off the market square in the very heart of the town. It’s easy to miss the sign over the door, but the enormous columns that stand guard either side of the entrance will not be so easy to ignore. Convenient parking can be found at The Arc which leaves just a short walk through to the Old Town and our Tearooms.

The site has had many uses over the years, the most notable being part of the towns Fire Station. The high ceilings now lend themselves to chandeliers giving a light and airy feel to the Tearooms. The sound of customers filling their day here with conversation is our highlight whilst our staff are busy creating that special afternoon tea, cutting the cakes or grinding the fresh coffee.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
